THE ALPHA COURSE

Millions of people across the world have attended an Alpha Course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the globe. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions. It's low key, friendly and fun and is supported by all the main Christian faiths.

New Life runs regular courses. Interested in coming along to Alpha? Your life could change for the better!

Please contact Philip Amos through our contact form leaving your contact details including your telephone number and email address and he’ll get back to you!

WHAT HAPPENS AT A TYPICAL ALPHA COURSE?
(We also run a daytime course. Please contact the Church Office for more details)

7.15 p.m. Supper

We start with a delicious meal, kindly provided by volunteers from our church and when we finish we sit at tables in small groups where we can get to know each other better.

8.00 p.m. Talk/DVD

The main part of the evening is to listen to a short talk or raise a popular issue of discussion relating to the Christian faith. We also let you know what is happening on the course

8.20 p.m. Coffee!

After the talk/DVD we break for a cuppa giving opportunity to relax and chat amongst ourselves

8.45 p.m. Small Group Discussion.

Those who have attended an Alpha Course have found this part of the evening the most beneficial

9.15 p.m. Course ends

We reassemble and feedback about the evening, and maybe seek answers to any unanswered questions. Now its off home! People often stay on for while to chat further, so feel free - but not for too long…the organisers want to get home too!
