DEACONS

Jane Dore became a Deacon in 2010, with special responsibility for worship within the life of the church.  She moved to Worthing from Middlesex as a child and has been at New Life Church for about 30 years. In her day job she is an Information Librarian with West Sussex Library Service and spends any free time she has knitting for charity, gardening and enjoying time with her Siamese cats. Her roles in church life have been with the children, with dance and music and with her first love which has always been worship in it's widest form. She has two daughters, one son-in-law and three grandchildren.

Wayne Gander has been a Deacon since 2009 and along with his wife oversees the children's work. Wayne has been associated with the church since 1984 apart from a short period where he was involved with a new satellite church which was planted out from the main congregation into a new housing estate. He very much loves being part of the church in the community and believes children have a special place in God’s heart. Wayne is a freelance chartered architectural technologist and has been married to Sarah since 1989, they have two grown up daughters Amy & Lydia.

Wayne Gander Colin Ingrey

Colin Ingrey became an Deacon in March 2010 and heads up our Welcome Team. He married Heather in 1972, and has 2 children and 3 grand-daughters. He came to Worthing in 1989 from the West Country and almost immediately found God and was baptised, Heather following shortly afterwards. Colin and Heather came to New Life around 1993. In October 2010 Colin became manager of the CAP Debt Counselling Centre for Worthing, based at New Life. This forms another major part of his work in church life. Both roles are challenging and he enjoys them immensely in which Heather plays a very active part.

Catherine Hunt is the Deacon for Mission and heads up the Mission Council Chairman. Her interest is in "Mission/ Mission projects". She facilitates the great commission in England and countries over the world where New Life Church has involvements. Her main interest is France, because Catherine is French-born and spends a lot of time there with family and the "Rochefort Project". She loves cooking, entertaining friends and family, reading, walking, travelling and meeting new people. She also loves spending time with her wider family.

Lyn Tiller, our Church Administrator is also a Deacon. Lyn will probably be your first point of contact when telephoning or emailing New Life. She has been on the staff since October 1983. Prior to this she worked in the NHS. Lyn came to the Lord whilst a child and has more or less grown up in the church. Lyn also serves at New Life in many different capacities which includes responsibility as Alpha Course Administrator and Children's Officer.
