 The
Friendship Club is another community service of New Life Church.
It provides for people who mostly live alone and wish to meet
new friends in a welcoming and non-intimidating atmosphere.
The Friendship Club encourages maintenance of a healthy and safe
lifestyle for all. After a good chat over coffee there is a
varied programme of table games, quizzes, films, talks, craft
and outings with a short service when appropriate. Refreshments
including fresh fruit is provided each week. We also have music
and movement exercise sessions. Birthdays are celebrated with
specially made candles.
The Club meets every Thursday between 10.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.
in the Coffee Shop at the end of our main church building. It
only costs £1.50 each week. New members are always welcome. The
Club is run by Wanda Tyler and Alison John who would be very
pleased to tell you more and offer you a trial visit. We are
sorry we cannot provide regular transport for new members.
