THE GRAPEVINE CAFE

Grapevine Café was re-launched in April 2011 by the Mayor of Worthing, Councillor Ann Sayers in the presence of over 50 supporters and regular customers.  The Mayor paid great tribute to the many volunteers who had worked in the café, from its opening in 1997 as New Life Church
Coffee Shop to the present, witnessing the development from a simple coffee shop serving drinks and snacks to a fully-fledged café-restaurant serving three course lunches.

OUR VISION

Grapevine Café’s vision is threefold:

To serve the community of Durrington with a warm, friendly and affordable eating place where relationships can be made and friendships sustained

 To be a place where people can bring friends and family and introduce them to the church community

 To provide those temporarily unable to work, retired or who simply have time on their hands with an opportunity to serve and experience the camaraderie of working together in service to the Kingdom

Grapevine Cafe opens two days a week, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The ethos of the café is one of service, and we operate a regular Tesco run on Wednesdays at 10.30am, taking customers to Tesco’s in our minibus and returning them home an hour later with their shopping. This has proved very popular with our local customers, as have our lunches which are served from 12 noon – 2 pm both days.

A warm welcome awaits you if you ever decide to drop in to see us. Grapevine Café is in Greenland Road, behind New Life Church, which is on the corner of Greenland Road and Salvington Road. There’s plenty of car parking space opposite and meals can be booked in advance via the Church Office (01903 262313) or via our contact form

Because of our increasing popularity we are seeking to employ a Catering Manager, when we also hope to open on Tuesdays as well. If you have catering qualifications and are interested in applying for this post, please download the job advert and Job Description below.
