The message of those early Christians was proclaimed in the market place, but it
flourished in people's homes. The home offered a place of hospitality where the believers
shared meals and broke bread together, remembering the death and resurrection of
Jesus (Acts 2:46).It became a place for teaching and proclamation where converts
were grounded in their faith (Acts 5: 42; 20;20). It was the scene of heartfelt prayer
(Acts 12:12), effective evangelism (Acts 16:32), and steadfast encouragement (Acts
16 :40)
Home group members meet weekly to enjoy fellowship, to apply God's Word in practical
and life-
Home Groups are made up of real people who face real problems. But they also contain
real potential for people to grow together in love and fulfil Paul's prayer of presenting
everyone "as a mature person in Christ" (Colossians 1:28)
