Ignite! is the youth group here at New Life Church. It happens on Saturday from 7.30 p.m. till 11. p.m. in the Jubilee Hall, Greenland Road. During the evening we play games, eat sweets, chat, have an enjoyable, exciting Bible discussion and on occasion put it into practice by visiting the local A&E to share the Good News!!!

IGNITE! AT NEW LIFE CHURCH

Connect Groups
Connect Groups meet on Tues (13 – 18’s) and Thurs (18’s +) evenings, to enjoy fun and laughs with one another but also to delve into God’s word and to find out how the Christian life is relevant to us today! Tuesdays Ignite! meet from 7pm -10 p.m. in the Jubilee Hall, and although still leaves time for hanging out with friends provides a longer time in smaller groups to study the Bible and pray together.

Thursdays from 7.30pm – whenever, J.A.M. meets at a top-secret location, which can be found in the notice sheet, or through phoning the office making it not quite so top secret... During this time we eat lots, (sleep lots!!) and drink A LOT of tea!! However we also manage to fit in time to challenge one another in our journey of faith and have a laugh whilst playing ‘Game of Life’ (contact Josh or Kat in the office for more info!!)

Girls Group!

On the first and third Sunday of the month, the girls from Ignite! (years 13+) meet in the church office, during the 10.30 a.m. Service at the church. The girls in the Ignite! group, felt it was important for us as women to meet together to encourage and challenge one another on our journey of faith (as it is hard to be with the men ALL the time!!) Each morning, we spend some time in worship, reading the Bible, praying and discussing important topics that arise, such as chocolate and eyebrow ‘tweezering’!!

Ignite! Extra

Ignite! Extra meet on Sunday Evening, following the evening service (Approx 8.pm) and finishes at 9:30 p.m. on the DOT! The group aims to bring the young people of the church together, to discuss passages from the Bible in more depth and uncover how they can be applied to our lives today. It comes with truly scrumptious homemade cakes and hot chocolate, just to seal the deal!

Encounter

On the second Sunday of each month (unless changed by the boss) Ignite! hijack the evening service (6:30 p.m.) and offer a fresh expression of church. This offers the young people a chance to lead the service, which is open for all ages, in a creative and youthful way! The Ignite! band lead the sung worship, while others engage in drama, dance, prayer stations and discussion groups.
